After realising the smaller surroundings of Poplar Park would not be big enough for league football, the club moved homes in 2000, relocating to the Royal British Legion Club across the village.
The Legion now plays hosts to all age groups home games on a Saturday and Sunday and, through the summer months, training sessions on week nights. Healing's senior 1st and 2nd teams also play their games at the Legion.
The Legion runs adjacent to a railway line and is surrounded by local houses and fields. The ground can be found on Oak Road (see map below) and boasts ample car parking with, in addition, parking available on nearby streets if need be.
The Legion is a popular venue within the local community, with regular events held throughout the year for it's many members such as live music, karaoke, bingo, quizzes, themed nights and parties. HHFC held it's first presentation evening at The Legion but now, due to the club's large following, a bigger venue is required.
Inside, the Legion has many facilities including a main lounge area, bar, games room, meeting room, toilets, sky television and dance floor.
Outside is where you will find the real action! The playing field, has two full sized pitches, two 7-a-side pitches for younger age groups and cricket square. Throughout the majority of the year, all areas are in pristine condition and are a pleasure to play upon. Credit must go to the club's groundsman who works tirelessly to prepare the Legion come rain or shine.
The club also has four mobile changing rooms, each sheltered with plenty of room, benches and chairs.
Below are some more pictures of the ground, directions and map.
